The LASIK procedure is done with topical anesthesia, which is quite effective at minimizing any pain or discomfort. Patients may feel some pressure at the time of surgery.

Epi-LASEK surgery is also done with topical anesthesia that reduces, or minimizes, any risk of pain during the procedure. We also prescribe analgesic and anti-inflammatory medications post-operatively to reduce discomfort.
